ICO Innovative Computer GmbH (sales/support) and Telejet GmbH (development), German providers of the self-developed automatic small parts warehouse STOROJET, are presenting a new milestone in the further development of the control and storage software at LogiMAT on May 31, 2022.
The ongoing optimization of STOROJET's control and storage software now makes it possible to provide even more storage capacity through improved transport routes and more efficient distribution of the different sizes of goods carriers. The 50 cm wide goods carriers with different lengths between 50 and 90 cm are now divided and parked in storage blocks with different storage depths to save even more space. Of course, always taking into account the existing ABC priorities with the required storage and retrieval speeds in relation to the respective transport routes. For example, slow-moving products are parked on the upper levels of the storage tower in storage blocks, one behind the other, and fast-moving products are positioned close to the lifts or the ports with a shallow storage depth.
With this update, we are achieving a significant increase in the total storage space, even for small systems of just 400 square meters,
said Klaus Jeschke, CEO of Telejet and developer of STOROJET regarding to the presentation at LogiMAT.
The improved algorithms also optimize the routes of the robots and enable largely crossing-free traffic thanks to newly coordinated alternative lanes within the storage towers structure. Even the already compact interface description could be rationalized in the course of this so that it can now be connected to existing warehouse management software even more easily and is therefore no longer a significant hurdle, even for small companies, to rely on an automated warehouse system in the future.
The new software version is still included in the STOROJET purchase price and is regularly provided with free updates. Existing customers can also look forward to this update and will be able to accommodate additional goods carriers in their automatic storage systems in the future.
